This page gives you the quick setup steps, daily-use tips, support details and a simple feedback form for your pilot workstation.

Before you begin

  • Keep all supplied chargers, docks and cables together.
  • Connect to Wi-Fi before signing into work accounts.
  • Tell us what software you need installed.
  • Do not reset, sell, lend or modify the device.

Using your workstation

Simple guidance for the pilot

Accounts

Use your own work accounts for email, cloud storage and meetings. Do not save passwords for shared accounts.

Files

Keep important files in OneDrive, Google Drive or another cloud location. Avoid using the desktop as your only copy.

Performance

Tell us if the laptop feels slow, loud, hot or unsuitable for your normal day-to-day tasks.

Meetings

Test webcam, microphone and speakers early so any issues can be fixed before an important call.

Care

Keep liquids away, avoid stickers, and report any damage or faults as soon as possible.

Returns

At the end of the pilot, DeskStack will arrange return, wipe and inspection of the equipment.

Troubleshooting

Try these first, or ask the AI helper.

Most issues are quick to fix. Choose the closest problem below, copy the support prompt, then either email DeskStack or open ChatGPT and ask for step-by-step help.

Wi-Fi not working

  1. Check Airplane Mode is off.
  2. Restart the laptop.
  3. Forget and reconnect to the Wi-Fi network.

Teams, Zoom or camera issue

  1. Check the camera privacy shutter.
  2. Restart the meeting app.
  3. Check app permissions for camera and microphone.

Laptop feels slow

  1. Restart the laptop.
  2. Close unused browser tabs and apps.
  3. Check Windows Updates are not still installing.

Dock or monitor issue

  1. Unplug and reconnect the USB-C cable.
  2. Check the monitor power and input source.
  3. Restart with the dock connected.
